summary of chris helton painting
Founded by the owner Christopher Helton in 2001, built from the ground up. Chris brings 15+ years of experience in the trade. Over the years we have mastered the painting trade, by taking preparation to the next level and refining the process. Quality is more important than quantity and we stand by this.
My vision in the beginning was to provide a solid service for homeowners who over the years have been taking advantage. Chris Helton painting has changed that. The customer is our heartbeat. Without the customer we don't exist. Companies over the years have forgotten that. That's why over the years God has allowed Chris Helton painting to receive a 100 strong customer base. They are truly the foundation Chris Helton painting sits on. Now we are beginning to provide our painting service to there children who are buying homes in Lindsborg and the surrounding areas. Prep work is the most important part of the process. That's where we thrive and have learned to take our time and have made sure everything is done properly. Our work continues to stand strong against the Kansas weather. Over the recent years God has brought new and younger talent in to learn the ways of Chris Helton painting to ensure the longevity of the business. God willing, we plan to continue to thrive throughout the year and take things one job at a time and continue to earn the trust of each and every homeowner.
About Chris Helton:
I grew up in the meriden, Ks northeast of Topeka, Ks about 20 miles. My grandparents had a small 80-acre farm which I worked and learned work ethic. We fed animals and worked the garden and bailed hay every summer. My favorite memories back then were farm pond swimming and creek swimming. As I grew up, I continued to work the farm in the summer and helped other farmers in the area bailing hay. In school my favorite memories were playing the trumpet in band. I started in middle school and continued through high school. Once out of school I became an equipment operator running everything from bac hoes to trac hoes and dozers and scrapers. After 7 years of that I decided to begin my own company. At the time I didn't know how everything would work out. I just knew God had led me to begin painting sheds and garages and doing handyman work. It was a tough first couple of years to say the least. Many times, paying my help and I made 10 and 12 dollars an hour. It was discouraging and also beautiful at the same time. I was being tested at the highest level. God asking me, how bad do you want this. Running your own company has many challenges and many moving parts as your growing and coming up. It was necessary to work 6 days a week and 12 hours a day just to keep up. Working by yourself and only having 1 helper puts a lot of pressure on you. But thank God after 4 years things began to flow more smoothly, and things began to fall into place. God brought the right people at the right time. Bigger and Bigger jobs began to come in and finally my character and hard work ethic began to be noticed and appricated. I eventually went to Kansas City, Kansas and took painting to the next level and took the State of Kansas test to become EPA Cirtifed and passed. Now currently things are flowing in the right direction. Always looking for new talent and continuing to press on. I'm 42 this august 16 and still learning so much but I have a solid foundation and the right people around me that I'm daily accountable to. Still not married and no kids. Everyone is always asking why I'm not married. This is something i've been thankful for. I don't believe I would have been able to do both. Starting a company takes your full attention. Weather God has me single or married one day, Ive learned to be content in each and every season of life. My advice to upcoming men or women wanting to start their own business is be prepared to be tested and tried by fire. Your word and your actions are all you have in this life and people are watching. Don't be afraid to look bad, no one is perfect. You fall in life or business the strong ones get up and learn and make changes. Your prayer life will be tested as well. God uses this to draw you near to him and to build your faith in him. Thanks for reading my mini bio. God bless you!
Wanted to give a thank you to my loving mom who has been a rock of praying for this to succeed and all the encouragement.
Wanted to give a thank you to Larry Hunt for being with me this whole time. After 1 year in business Larry Hunt came to help out on a few jobs and God had plans for him to continue helping after 15 years. His expert experience helps everything flow smooth.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING: The first couple years in business is the most important time that you really need help from people and getting your name out and establishing customers. I want to say a special thank you to a few people who made my life easier by helping to get my business name out and having a lot of properties to paint and all the encouragement.

Chris Helton painting is (excepting donations.)
I am a strong believer in "Lift up Lindsborg" but still I run into at least 1 job and smaller side jobs throughout the year where homeowners need our services but can't afford the full cost. Chris Helton painting over the years have always covered this. God has truly blessed the company for doing this. But now I'm giving everyone the opportunity to get involved. I will not make public who is needing help out of respect for the homeowner. Most homeowners that can't pay the full amount just need a helping hand and we move on. I have experienced so much positive feedback on Chris Helton painting and the impact we have been able to make. We will continue to go the extra mile for the homeowners we serve. I am a servant of Lindsborg and have from day 1 enjoyed serving this community. Lindsborg deserves the best service from every business here and I truly believe each business is passionate about accomplishing that. I believe this area is a well-oiled machine and everybody is always willing to help. Thank you for your donations and most of all thank you for your prayers.
God bless everyone in Lindsborg, Ks and God bless everyone who reads this.

MY CONVICTION
I want to take time to thank God personally. God and his son Jesus birthed this years ago. They were the ones who gave me this idea to start the painting business. Ive leaned on them so much daily and draw strength from them daily. I love God and Jesus Christ is my personal savior. I was baptized 10 years ago. Planting seeds of Gods goodness is important but living it daily year after year is important as well.
